A. DAILY SERVICES

1. EMPTY ALL WASTE BASKETS, REPLACE LINERS AS NEEDED. REMOVE GARBAGE AND WASTE CARDBOARD. RETURN WASTE BASKETS, CHAIRS AND RECYCLE BOXES TO PROPER POSITIONS.

2. VACUUM ALL CARPETED AREAS AND STAIRS ON A DAILY AND WEEKLY SCHEDULE, DEPENDING ON AREA USE.

3. DUST WORK STATIONS, NOT DISTURBING PAPERS AND FOLDERS ON DESKS AND TABLES.

4. CLEAN LOBBY WINDOWS.

5. DUST MOP AND WET MOP ALL TILE AND HARD SURFACE FLOORS.

6. KITCHEN:
• CLEAN SINK AND COUNTERS.
• SPOT CLEAN WALLS NEAR SINK.
• DUST AND CLEAN OUTSIDE OF APPLIANCES.
• CLEAN MICROWAVE.
• FILL HAND SOAP AND PAPER TOWEL DISPENSER.

7. TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS EXCEPT THOSE NEEDED OR REQUIRED TO BE LEFT ON, BEFORE LEAVING THE BUILDING.

8. ENSURE ALL REQUIRED DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE CLOSED, LATCHED, AND LOCKED, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT OPEN TO THE OUTSIDE.

9. NOTE SUPPLIES THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED, EQUIPMENT THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED, LIGHTS THAT ARE OUT. LEAVE A LIST WITH THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR.

B. WEEKLY SERVICES

1. VACUUM STAIRS.

2. PICK UP RECYCLED POP CANS. PLACE BAGS OF RECYCLE POP CANS IN DESIGNATED AREA.

1. PERFORM LOW REACH AND HIGH REACH DUSTING NOT DONE DAILY:

•COMPLETE COMMERCIAL RESTROOM MAINTENANCE

1.Assemble all necessary materials and equipment for maintenance to save steps and avoid lost time. Give a list to the lead of needed supplies.



2.Sweep floor thoroughly. Get into the corners, under the sink, and behind the toilets. Pick up waste material and remove gum with a putty knife. Note areas needing special care. Keep paper and pencil on cleaning cart to keep track of repairs or supplies needed. Call lead and leave a short message.



3.Empty receptacles for waste and sanitary napkins, and always replace used liners. Check lighting, make note to inform lead of any replacement needs.



4.Check dispensers for paper towels, toilet tissue, seat covers, hand soap, sanitary napkins and tampons. Refill daily.



5.Clean shower and shower curtain. Spray with disinfectant and clean with a sponge with a white scrub pad. ( Don't scratch the fiberglass shower stall by scrubbing with a green scrub pad ).



6.Clean toilet bowls and urinals inside with toilet bowl cleaner. Always scrub thoroughly inside with the toilet bowl brush. Particularly under the rim and recesses. Remove mineral buildup w/ pumice stone as needed.



7.Clean toilet bowls and urinals outside with disinfectant - toilet seats, sides, and base, top, all fixtures, and underneath. Spray on the disinfectant and let it sit for a minute or as per directions, and wipe to clean and then dry.



8.Clean urinal partitions with disinfectant and wipe dry. The Formica on the partitions can also be polished and made to look new, after cleaning, by applying Furniture polish and wipe till clean and dry.



9.Clean sink with cleanser and disinfectant. Always scrub off buildup from around the faucet and soap dispenser, and the inside of the over-flow hole. Scrub, rinse, and wipe dry. Use the white scrub pad on the fixtures (so as to not leave permanent scratches on the chrome fixtures), and the green scrub pad on the sink top.



10.Clean hardware and pipes, especially behind the toilet, above the urinals, and under the sink. Use disinfectant and wipe to clean, and then to dry.



11.Clean mirrors. Use Windex and paper towel to remove smudge marks, and wipe dry. (Carefully scrape off resin, paint, etc.)



12.Mop floor around toilets and urinals thoroughly. Continue mopping over entire floor. Use a hand pad to clean between the stall partitions and the wall and also to get into the corners and behind the toilets. Don't forget to clean behind the door. Always work toward the door to prevent tracking the freshly cleaned areas.



13.Clean drinking fountain area. Always clean and also use disinfectant. Wipe dry.(use a white scrub pad if cleaning stainless steel)



14.Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors with Soil Solve and wipe dry. (use a white scrub pad)



15.Sponge off tops of all partitions and doors. Wipe ledges, shelves, and other areas where dust and dirt collect, and wipe dry. Dust cobwebs out of the corners.



16.Clean surfaces of all dispensers and receptacles, and wipe dry. Clean and polish stainless steel Clean and polish with one wipe-all and thoroughly dry with another wipe-all).



17.Remove marks and smudges from door kick and push plates, light switch, etc, and wipe dry.



18.CLEAN UP ALL EQUIPMENT WHEN FINISHED WITH RESTROOM MAINTENANCE.



. Mops should be washed out and deodorized with disinfectant cleaner. Should have a clean smell before hanging up.



. Mop bucket should always be emptied and rinsed out and an occasional scrubbing inside and out with cleaner and a scrub pad.



CLEAN EQUIPMENT MAKES FOR GOOD CLEANING AND SHOWS YOUR GOOD WORKING HABITS.



. Mop sink should be rinsed out after each use and scrubbed out weekly to prevent build up of dirt. Periodically remove the drain cover and remove the hair and debris.



. Push broom and dust mop should be brushed out to remove matting and tangled objects before storing.



. Toilet bowl brush and bucket should be kept clean by soaking with disinfectant for 10 to 15 min.



. RESTOCK ALL SUPPLIES IN THE SUPPLY ROOMS, RESTROOM CLEANING CADDY, AND IN THE SPRAY BOTTLES.



. KEEP MOP ROOMS AND JANITOR SUPPLY ROOMS NEAT AND CLEAN.

•BASIC RESTROOM CLEANING

1. Check and stock supplies on cart.

2. Fill mop bucket with cleaning chemicals and warm water.

3. Sweep restroom floor and pick up dirt.

4. Check dispensers and stock supplies,

5. Empty Sanitary Napkin Disposal Unit and replace bag.

6. Clean toilets and urinals inside with toilet bowl cleaner, outside with disinfectant, scrub pumice stone if needed.

7. Clean urinal partitions and wall behind urinals with disinfectant.

8. Clean the sink.

9. Clean the mirror.

10. Clean all fixtures with disinfectant.

11. Empty the garbage can and replace the liner.

12. Mop the floor.

Security Guard duties are to patrol and inspect property and to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity.

•MAKE SURE ALL OUTSIDE DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE CLOSED AND LATCHED.
•INSIDE DOORS. MAKE A ROUND AND CHECK ALL DOORS FROM THE INSIDE THAT ARE TO BE LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.
•CHECK ALL WINDOWS. PHYSICALLY CHECK TO SEE IF THEY ARE CLOSED AND LATCHED.
•OUTSIDE DOORS. MAKE A ROUND AND CHECK ALL DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE. SHAKE HANDS WITH ALL OF THE DOORS.
•MAKE SURE ALL LIGHTS ARE OFF AFTER ALL PERSONNEL HAVE LEFT.
•THE OFFICE CLEANING CREW WILL TURN LIGHTS ON AND OFF AS NEEDED.
•SHUT OFF ALL COFFEE MACHINES.
•CHECK THAT PERSONAL FANS AND HEATERS ARE OFF UNDER DESKS.
•CHECK THAT TOASTER OVENS AND PERSONAL COFFEE CUP HEATERS ARE OFF.
•CHECK OUTSIDE GROUNDS & OUTBUILDINGS.
•CHECK ALL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ONCE A MONTH on the 1st of each month.
•MAKE ROUNDS ONCE AN HOUR, CHANGING YOUR ROUTINE REGULARLY. •CHECK AND CHANGE THE SECURITY CAMERA TAPE.
•RE-CHECK AREAS WHERE PEOPLE WERE WORKING.
•AS SOON AS EVERYONE IS GONE LOCK UP THE GATES.
•BEFORE LEAVING AT THE END OF YOUR SHIFT, MAKE ONE LAST ROUND CHECKING ALL OUTSIDE DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE THE BUILDINGS WALKING THROUGH ALL AREAS.

Things 'she' does before I clean.
Wash area rugs, soak compost bucket in bleach, change linens, clear clutter out of the way, clean pellet stove, clean closets, empty trash.

FIRST FLOOR - USE NONTOXIC CLEANER FOR MOPPING FLOORS PLEASE! (she has dogs)

KITCHEN – Hi & low dusting, wipe down faces of cabinets, clean appliances, wipe out microwave, rinse out compost bucket, clean counter tops, wipe down under sink, sweep & wet mop floor,

UTILITY ROOM – Hi & low dusting, Sweep floors, wet mop every other time, (including bathroom). Clean bathroom (toilet, sink, counter top, mirror)

LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM- Hi & low dusting, dust all glass surfaces, entertainment unit, Clean glass surfaces as needed, vacuum floor, vacuum couch & chairs as needed, clean surface of pellet stove and tile hearth,

MASTER BEDROOM – Hi & low dusting, dust shelves/entertainment unit (wipe down if needed), wipe down glass tops of night stands, clean mirror as needed, vacuum.

MASTER BATH – Hi & low dusting, dust shelves over tub, Clean shower and glass as needed, wipe down tub as needed, clean toilet, wipe down countertops, clean mirrors, mop floor, wipe down under sink if needed.

STAIRS – Vacuum if needed.

SECOND FLOOR – (doesn’t get heavy use)

BEDROOMS – Hi & low dusting, Dust / Vacuum as needed.

OFFICE – Office gets more use than bedrooms. Hi dusting/ wipe down work surfaces but don’t worry about moving everything out of the way to clean on desks unless it is really gross. Vacuum.

BATHROOM – Mop floor every other visit. Wipe down counter, clean toilet, wipe down shower if needed (rarely)
