Chautauqua in the classroom . . .

Betty Jean Steinshouer, a scholar and actress with 20 years of experience as a touring Chautauqua performer, will teach you and your students how to immerse yourselves in a character, event or time period.   Her repertoire includes authors Willa Cather, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Flannery O'Connor, Gertrude Stein, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Sarah Orne Jewett, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and several homeless people drawn from literature and the street.
