Per his son Jesse Jasper Holder, he lived on an island off the coast of Georgia and raised hogs that were fed only fresh fish netted from the ocean. He raised the international grand champion in 1920 or 1924.
The Holders moved to Cobb county in 1926 or 1927. He became a newpaper circulation manager fo the "Georgian American" a Hearst publication. As he approached retirement he raised Glads and shipped them to NY market.
Per Jesse, his grandfather rode to the town of McRae on a horse. When it became dark the hores returned home without him. Died of a heart attack at 44. They found him beside the road.

Per Dad she lived with Leonard and Alva and lost her eyesight. She never went to the Doctor and her eyesight came back. She was very religious. Believed to be Methodist. She would constantly read the bible and would scream at the kids tht they were going to Hell.
Leonard had hard feelings for his brothers because they never contributed anything toward his mothers upkeep.
My father said (When he was a young boy) he had a sore on his right foot that would not heal and when he was at his Grandmother McClure's house he told her about it. She sent him to the barn to get a hammer. When he returned his grandmother had some walnuts from the walnut tree. She pounded the nuts to make a paste. Dad said when she put the walnut paste on his sore he peed in his pants it hurt so bad. His sore healed a short time later.
