From Mark McClure: My grandfather (William David) went by the name Dave. He was actually the Mayor of Acworth I think in the late 50's. In fact, as a child I visited their house quite often in Acworth. They moved to Kennesaw, GA (approx 10 miles from Acworth) in the early 60's, which is where they lived until they passed away. My grandfather passed in 1964, and my grandmother in 1978. My grandfather had a farm for many years in Oak Grove, which is where my Dad was raised. Oak Grove is also near Acworth, but is out in the country and is in Cherokee County, instead of Cobb County which has most of Acworth. There was another McClure family that was unrelated to my family that lived near my grandfather's old home place in Oak Grove. The only name I know from that family was Roy McClure, who was my Dad's best childhood friend. That would make Roy about 81 or 82 now, but I think he passed away already too
