In the effort to make Britannia more alive, here's some more ideas that just seem conspicuously missing from UO - stained glass windows. You can find stained glass windows all over in Black Gate and Serpent Isle. In Ascension they even used some real ones in the Cathedral of Love. And, they just seem appropriate for any medieval style setting.
Here's some art I've worked on. Starting on the top row, first up is the Fellowship logo, surrounded by rich, dark colours. Next is a window for Empath Abbey. Since the monks are called the Brotherhood of the Rose, this seemed appropriate. The last two are adapted from actual art found in U7. They look okay, but I'm considering redoing them from scratch and keep the same general look. The bottom row shows three colour ideas for the window to go behind the throne in Castle Britannia. Personally, I think the similarities with the first one and the Fellowship window has a certain wonderful irony.
Here are the concept windows pasted over the wall for the mock-up throne room Depending which one is decided upon, I may alter the Serpent and Ankh banners to provide a little more contrast.
