Welcome

Color printers are revolutionizing card modeling.  Printing out your own sheets has so many advantages (not the least of which is being able to start over when you screw up).

There is one such advantage that is now gaining wider interest:  It is the fact that being in charge of the printing allows you to modify the model before you print it.  Maybe you just change the color-scheme, change the scale, or correct a fit problem.  Or maybe you completely redesign the model.

That is what my last project was:  A complete redesign of a 25-year-old Maly Modelarz model of a Polish paddlewheel riverboat, the Krakus.  This involved:

§         Changing the scale from 1:100 to 1:250

§         Correcting the fit and scale problems in the original model

§         Trying some completely new approaches to the making the of hull and the decks

§         Brand new rendering of the model-parts

§         Printing on new, high-quality paper

The following pages describe (and show pictures of) how this all went.
