Dressage in the Sandhills Show, Pinehurst, NC May 12-14.

Guinivere made her first show debut with flying colors.  Competing in the Open Division, Denise and Guinivere averaged upper 60's at Training level, placing in each class and winning Training 1 on Saturday.  They also got their first qualifying score for the regional championships in the open division with a score of 68.8%.  Judges comments were "tons of potential".  Guinivere was very  nervous the first afternoon that we arrived but settled down nicely and got right to work on Friday.

Cresent Moon by Contucci will be under saddle by July and we are really excited about her future as a dressage horse. We plan on presenting her for inspection at the American Hanoverian Association in August at Honey Locust Farm. Look for her at Dressage at Lexington in the Breed Show.

DRESSAGE at LEXINGTON 2006

The heat wave the weekend of July 14-16th was incredible, but we endured to have an incredible weekend both in the Breed Show and the Dressage Show.

We are so proud of Guinivere for her scores of 69%,72%, and 74% at Training Level and a 64.5% at First Level (her first test), especially since Denise went off course in all test except one.  On Friday morning we got off to a slow start with a  59%.  I think Denise was asleep still while she rode the test after only four hours of sleep the night before and a very  long hot day.  Fortunately she redeemed herself later.  Guinivere is now qualified for the Regional Championships in the Open Division as well as the BLM Championships.  This was Guinivere's second recognized show.

Cresent Moon shown bright in her breed classes by placing second in a large Mature Horse Mare Class and went back in for the Mature Horse Championship Class.  She qualified for Devon and boy is her owner proud.  In addition she was second in the Bred in North Carolina Class, and fourth in the American Hanoverian (IBC) Class.

AMERICAN HANOVERIAN ASSOCIATION INSPECTION

On July 31, 2006 at Honey Locust Farm, in Chapel Hill, NC, during the  American Hanoverian Inspection, Cresent Moon  was the High Score Mare at the Mare Inspection with a score of 7.22 and is now elite eligible along with her half sister, Blue Chip by Bordeaux.

A special thanks to my husband for all his support and video time.  You are wonderful!

Raleigh, NC Fall Breed Show
Cresent Moon qualified a second time for Devon with a score of 7.5 as Reserve Champion of the Four Year Old Maiden Mare Class.

Pinehurst Fall Dressage  2006
Guinivere continues to impress us with her consistency and scores.  She was Champion at Training Level Senior with a score of 75% and also won the NC Warmblood Breeders High Score award.

BLM Championship,  Lexington, VA  October 2006
Guinivere and Denise placed a disappointing but impressive 12th of 30 talented horse and rider teams with a 65%.  We are still pleased with her impressive performance for her first year on the show circuit.  This was only her 6th horse show. This 12th place was behind the top 4 year old in the country, BW Callista, by Contucci.

Guinivere's USDF ranking for the year was 172 and she earned her USDF performance certificate at Training Level.

In Fall 2007, Guinivere and Denise competed in Raleigh at First Level with scores of 65% and better.  Denise also showed Vicki Hurewitz's Ritter Benno at Training Level with scores consistently around 69%.  He won or placed second in all three classes.

At Pinehurst in 2007, Cresent Moon made her debute at Training Level.
