My snow-covered car

My car, a '99 Honda Civic, after our first snowfall (only a couple of inches worth).

Cars after our second snowfall (about a foot). My car is the one on the left. The truck in the middle got stuck trying to extricate itself from our dead end road. It's travelled about 10 feet to get to this point.

My house

This is the house I lived in for the first 10 months I was in Chapel Hill (I have since moved). My bedroom was behind the window on the far right (the brick part of the house). I think this picture was taken after the first snowfall, since you can still see leaves poking up through the snow on the ground.

This is the swing in front of our house. I took this picture mostly because it shows how much the snow had piled up. This is the most snow I've ever seen in my life!

Paulina

Here they are: definitive proof that I was there! A Texan in a foot of snow...now there's a concept!

Still more Paulina

These are my two housemates, Andrea (in the back, with the hat that matches mine) and Adina (in the purple coat).

An anatomically correct snowwoman

When she heard about our snow, Liz instructed me to build an anatomically correct snowman for her. Turns out the neighbors did my work for me. So, Liz, here ya go: a seven foot tall anatomically correct snowwoman, just for you!

And finally, the snowman that Andrea and I built (about three days after the second snowfall...believe me, this snow really didn't want to stick together). Note the matching hat!
