ANNUAL GUITAR RAFFLE A HUGE SUCCESS
RICH's Annual Guitar Raffle at the Washington County Fair was a huge success this year.
The funds raised through the raffling of an autographed guitar resulted in a donation of $2,450 to Rhode Island Make A Wish
Foundation. RICH President, Hank Charette made the presentation of the check to Helen Vallee of Make A Wish on Wednesday,
September 10, 2008. Each year, Frank and Diane Hyde of Hyde Music in Coventry RI donate a guitar to RICH to be raffled
at the Washington Country Fair in a fundraising effort for a specified charity. All through the week of the Fair,
the performers who appear on the main stage are asked to autograph the guitar. Raffle tickets for the guitar are sold
at RICH's booth and the winning ticket is drawn at the close of the Fair on Sunday. This was a HUGE year for the raffle
- all of the tickets were sold and people just kept making donations!
