We Have Now Settled Down in Dillsboro!!
Dillsboro has been a tourist town since the late 19th century when the railroad first brought visitors to
the “land of the sky” to escape the summer heat. More than a century later, Dillsboro has changed very little
— a small country village with pristine white houses, rustic old shops, galleries, restaurants and quaint country inns.
The founder, Thomas Dills’ home still stands, as do many of the shops that first opened their doors in the 1800s.
Cross Stitch Etc. is
located right next to the train depot on Dill Street, accross the street from the general store. We carry cross stitch
charts, specialty threads, fabrics and supplies. Our favorite is Mill Hill kits, beads, buttons and frames
(we have a room just for these fun to stitch kits!).
For our gifts and collectibles, this shop location used to be Sandy's
Samplers so we have a number of hand made country crafts. We have indulged in our second love ~ purses!!
Currently, there is a great selection of Isabella's Journey. A few other necessitites since we are in the mountains,
you'll find hand made wood items, candle accessories and a dabble of antiques.
Be sure to check us out during your next visit!
