...The human figure, or at least the face, in whatever fragmentary
form it concludes on any given piece, must still be there.
Otherwise I feel a growing dissatisfaction and my mind drifts off;
usually until I find more figures and faces.
If I attempt to be more abstracted or lean toward words or
symbols, these attempts end up just so much airs and muddied.
Recently again I allowed myself to include apparent disassociated
images and words in the pieces; more limited in kind than I would like.
