Computers and Your Kids

The Internet is like a vast playground, with a lot of potential for fun and enrichment, but also potential for problems. It's important to remember that some types of online trouble are more serious than others.

On a playground, being teased by another child is far less serious than receiving a sexual advance from a stranger. On the Internet, receiving junk e-mail is far less serious than being enticed by a stranger in a chat room. It's important not to overreact. But how do we recognize when a problem is serious, or when it's simply part of being online?  --From GetNetWise
