Librarian's Suggestions for Summer and Recreational Reading '09

ex.  Aremenian + genocide

Irish + genocide + potato famine

       Holocaust + Germany

There are many countries and populations that have been victims of genocide. Some famous and some not as famous in our studies of history.

I requested websites from school librarians throughout California for suggestions that may be helpful to you as you do your research.

The last two sites are especially dear to my heart since they are related to the potato famine in Ireland and the reason that my ancesters came to the United States. The dates are the mid-1800's during the same time as our Gold Rush.
