In 1965 Diamond Electric Supply Company was establised in Gastonia North Carolina by Tommy Huggins. In 1967, at the age of 27 Tommys brother Michael joined Diamond Electric. Shortly the brothers teaming, Tommy passed away. Wanting to continue to grow his late brother's business, Michael assumed the responsibility of running the company, which was still in it's infant stages and trying to find it's place in the electrical supply market. After a few years, and many long hours, Diamond Electric became a viable supplier of electrical supplies to the surrounding area. The customer base consisted mostly of the textile industry, which at that time, Gastonia was known as the spindle city of the world. After establishing a customer, supplier relationship with local textile plants Diamond Electric became known as a supplier that no matter what the product was, they would find it. This established a relationship with our customers that to this day still exists.
