I am the director of the Health Industry Steering Committee’s efforts
to position healthcare workforce development as a key driver of economic development in Central Texas. The HISC is now housed at WorkSource
Greater Austin Area Workforce Development Board.
I am a graduate of Yale College and the Columbus School of Law at Catholic
University and licensed to practice law in three jurisdictions.
I have practiced in the areas of criminal, employment, health, real estate and probate. My employment at several
nonprofits and volunteer activities include involvement with legal services to the poor, gender equity in the courts,
the environment and access to education.
I've worked as a grant writer at, and now teach this grant writing
course for Austin Community College
as adjunct faculty. Teaching grants is great fun as I have the opportunity to work with wonderful groups of students
and have a concrete way to contribute to our nonprofit community.
