This is an image of Katherine (on the left) and Ida Butz. Ida, born in 1862, looks to be about 6 years old, so we can estimate that this image was made in about 1868. After marrying J. Harvey Romig, Ida would bear many children. The last, Iva Butz Romig, was born in 1903, when Ida was 40 years old.

[Iva would marry Charles Arthur Apple in 1933, and bear three of her own children: Charles (Jr.) in 1943 and the twins, Sylvia and Sandra, in 1944.]
