        3. Tobacco burst
        4. I was going to sell it, but after attending the 2005 Mandolin Symposium, I think I'll have it professionally set up for octave pairs on the D and G course

Mandola:

    1. Model: Alder #2 custom
      Maker:
      Weber
      Year:
      2000
      Woods:
Sitka spruce (top), maple (body, neck), ebony (headstock overlay, fretboard, bridge)
      Comments:
        1. The reason this is a custom instrument is its gloss finish.  The maple body on this instrument is strikingly figured and quite beautiful. Plus it's just a ton of fun to play.
        2. Had Bryan Kimsey reshape and refinish the neck.  He did a fantastic job.  I find Weber's gloss finish and neck shapes both a little heavy.
