Presidents Message

Presidents Report Spring 2009

The first day of spring arrived in Harbordale with rain, which we sorely needed to keep our trees and lawns green and growing. It also coincided with the swearing in of three new City Commissioners and a new Mayor. I attended the Ceremony at City Hall and was impressed with the good will and civility expressed by our new government. Mayor Seiler, talked about encouraging people to volunteer and listening to community concerns. Our new Commissioner, Romney Rodgers, spoke eloquently about family and neighbors and the values we all share. Lets hope this spirit can overcome the hard decisions that will need to be taken to get our city through these difficult economic times.

Your new 2009 Officers and Board Members have been working hard dealing with weighty issues affecting us all.
