Happy Halloween, Samhain, All Hallows Eve...whatever you personally support!

For your viewing  pleasure I provide some videos of my game, "Mysterious Mysteries:  the Search for the Jeweled Knight".

The videos were made using Wink, which makes real time screen captures of the running application.
Because the frame renders and frame captures are not synchronized there is occasional video/audio jittering.  The actual rendering and audio are very smooth.
This game combines the following tecknologies.
  • Xith3D - Scenegraph, loaders, HUD, etc.
  • FreeTTS Speech synthesis
  • Blender exported Cal3D animated models.
  • 3D Content and game attributes generated using "Art of Illusion" 3D modeller

  Things to consider

  • To do not let the displayed framerate fool you or reflect poorly on Xith3D.  The scenes I am showing are triangle and audio intense. The captures were made on my poor laptop with its mighty ATI 200m integrated video chip.
  • The voice is realtime speech synthesis using the FreeTTS package.  Basically, text to speech generation.  For this to sounds at its best, I stop all renedering until the speaking is complete.  While this makes for clearer speech it does induce pauses in the rendering.  This by design.
