Lisa Haas is playwright, essayist
and
monologist. Her twisted-queer performance pieces have been seen in NYC, nationally and
internationally. Some
of those
pieces include In Heat, Rita &
Inez: The True Queens of Femininity,
I Sit in the Café, and Stacked:
A Deviant Doctoral Dissertation. She was the recipient of a Jerome Foundation Fellowship
to
write her solo comedy, Crown Hill
Cemetery, which was in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and will tour the Toronto,
Winnipeg and Vancouver fringe
festivals this summer. She sings
a
capella with the comedy group The Lesbian Overtones and is a member of The Dramatists
Guild of America, Inc. Her newest
show, The DPB Scandal will
have a reading in NYC this fall and premiere in spring 2010.
