I designed this large chocolate chip cookie for Abigail's birthday. She said she'd like a cookie that was pretty and hopefully decorated with chocolate items. This is what I came up with to try and fulfill her wishes - a solid chocolate wishing well on a 12" petal shaped cookie base. The roof and posts of the well are cast in milk chocolate, and the base of the well in white chocolate. I used petal dusts to try and get the look and colour of brick. The tiny bees, lettering, rabbits and robin are also handcast chocolate. The rocks are also chocolate, but thankfully come in packages from the Stone Mountain gift shop! The flowers and stone path are made from fondant (petal dusts were again used to give a more mottled colour effect to the path). The base icing, grass, vines and leaves were all buttercream. I was so glad that Abigail liked this cookie and that her idea of pretty and mine coincided! Hope you like it too!
