I designed this cake for Clint's birthday. He's a Delta pilot so I thought this might be appropriate. The plane is made from handcast white chocolate that is detailed with lustre dust and buttercream piping. The plane is made to "fly" by the placement of two large marshmallows (jet-puffed of course!) hidden in the clouds under the front and back of the plane (the plane was "glued" to the marshmallows with white chocolate). I thought the marshmallows would provide support and also cushioned suspension for the 30 minute delivery drive. It worked very well - it all arrived in good condition. The cake had two fronts! One is a "birthday" front, with dark blue chocolate lettering (shown in the last picture), and the other, is a more artistically pleasing view that was left plain! Hope you like it!
