I designed this cake for my mother-in-law's birthday. Since her birthday fell over the Easter holiday this year, I thought something reminiscent of Spring and the season would be nice. It also helped tremendously that I had made lots of flowers for my tiered cake and had many left over. I combined the flowers with a handmade chocolate basket to link with the Easter theme. The cake was a lemon cake with lemon frosting. Happy Birthday Mom, we love you!
