This cake was for my mother's birthday. I thought she might like an "idealized version" of Grandma's house! It is made using the Wilton holiday house pan using their country cottage suggestions. I made the little children out of handmolded chocolate along with the cottage sign. The flowers are royal icing; the rest of the cake is buttercream. The chimney is made out of two pretzel rods that are covered in chocolate icing, and then piped with rocks. I'm glad to say she really liked it!
