I used sugar cookies to give the M and M's dimension and figure piped in the arms and legs. I really liked using the M and M's as candle holders. They added so much colour. However, this was the cake that taught me about unsightly bulges (and not just because I ate too much of it)! Now I let my cakes settle for a day before decorating and I haven't had a bulge since.
