This cake is my first ever "age joke" cake for Perry's 40th birthday. I'm not so sure he's thrilled with that honour, but his wife Michelle said that we should have some fun with his birthday. Perry is a train buff and model railroader, so I wanted to include it with the age theme. This cake is the result. I got the basic idea from the '96 Wilton Yearbook, the town names from Jeanne Gibbs (thanks yet again Jeanne!), and the rest of it is from my imagination. Everything on the cake is edible. The train, stations, signs, and letters on the big hill are all colored hand molded chocolate. The drop flowers are royal icing. I don't know if you can see it from the pictures, but the lights are out in the Young Township station, and they are on in Geezerville. Perry is heading over the hill to Geezerville! I'm glad to say he took the joke in good humor! Happy Birthday Perry!
