Hi, my name is Alison and I started making cakes in April 2000. I was quoted $70.00 by a local bakery for a 3-D Thomas the Tank Engine cake for my son's 3rd. birthday. At that point I decided to give it a try myself! Thomas was the starting point and since then I've made cakes for family and friends as a labour of love. I'm self-taught and finding the learning curve is steep, but I think/hope I'm getting a little better/wiser with each cake.
