Christie loves inline skating and the colours purple and yellow. With that in mind, this is the cake I came up with for her 9th birthday. The skate itself is made of color flow and marks my first attempt at this medium. I am so thrilled it "worked"! The lettering is all handcast purple chocolate, and the rest is buttercream. I don't think it shows in the photos, but the centers of the large flowers had yellow sugar on them, to give them a really glistening, "polleny" quality. I'm glad to say Christie loved it, and it's now fondly dubbed as "the groovy cake"!
