Thomas the Tank Engine was the cake that started it all! I learned so much on this cake, especially about the importance of icing consistency. I used the canned Betty Crocker frosting, which tastes great, but is really too thin for this kind of work. It is also sculpted out of 6 layers of yellow and chocolate cake, a denser pound cake would have been easier to work with!!
