This wishing well cake was made for my niece Alex's birthday. The idea is taken from the 1992 Wilton yearbook (p.32). I pretty much just followed the directions. I did add in a handmade chocolate bunny to personalize it for Alex. She has a rabbit of the same colours named Peter. I thought it went right along with the theme. This cake marks my first attempt ever at making royal icing flowers (other than the little drop flowers). I found it quite a challenge, but after MANY unsuccessful attempts to form a daisy, I stumbled on to a technique that worked for me. They certainly aren't perfect, but I'm glad to have at least one flower in my repertoire! I hope you like it!
