mug.jpgHello and welcome to the Attleboro Bridge Club homepage. My name is John Baringer, and I am the director of the Attleboro Bridge Club.  I have played bridge since 1984, and have directed games since 1986.  I am a Ruby Life Master.  I have run this game since 1997, although the Attleboro Game itself has been around for over 50 years now.

The game starts at 7:00 PM Thursday evenings.  Game is stratified (A-open, B-0-2000, C-0-1000) and non-smoking.  Singles welcome.  As I tell everyone, if worse comes to worse, you get stuck with me!  We are located at the Florence Sweet Clubhouse at 44 Peck Street.

Questions?    Please put "bridge" somewhere in the subject line.

Should there be a need to cancel a particular game due to inclement weather, it will be posted here below this paragraph.  I will try to have it posted here by 2 PM on the day of the game at the latest, and also you can check in with the points of contact listed on the Directions and Contacts page.  You can also call 401-256-1484 on the day of the game.

No game for Thursday, 2/9/17 due to the forecast foot or so of snow for the area.  See you all next week.  Stay safe! to get added to my email list.

New items

I have a cell phone, and the number is 401-256-1484.  This is one of those prepaid phones with limited minutes, so  please call the cell phone only on Thursdays, otherwise you can call the home phone, 401-305-5101 (new number).  ACBL is a little slow in fixing the club phone number on the ACBL website.  It is still showing the old phone number yet.  Hopefully, that will be straightened out soon, as I sent another email requesting correction to the new phone number.  Thank you.

I will be looking to update the phone listing in the new year, as it has been a couple years since I have done it.  The last update was 01/02/11.  The file is posted to the website, but to protect that info, there is not a direct link on any of the pages of the website to the file.  Send me an email at and I will be happy to supply you the link.

New link on the other links tab above.  Bridge Clues by Mike Lawrence.  A new site free to users with daily hands (one bidding and one play) that "Entertain and Instruct"
