Monday Night game at Epoch assisted living facility in Norton, right on Route 140, about a mile south of the Tweeter center.  See lessons link for directions and info about formal lesson schedule.  This is a student game.  There is always a clinic (free mini lesson) starting at 6:15 PM, when there is not a formal lesson series ongoing.  The free lesson runs for @ 1/2 hour.  Then there is a short play session, which lasts about 2 hours.  It is duplicate style, but very casual.  There is also a free hand analysis of the hands played for that evening.  Occasionally, we run formal lesson series once or twice a year.  During these periods, lessons run for about an hour, then play for @1 1/2 hours.  There is no cost to play.  Epoch pays for my services.  During formal lesson series, there is no cost for the lesson itself, but non-resident participants will be required to buy the student text, which is currently $20.  Formal lesson series run for @8 weeks.

The Club series or Bidding series starts every September the Monday after Labor Day.  You can download the first two chapters pending ordering and receipt of the books.  To print, you will need to print in landscape, and may need to reduce the size slightly to @ 85% to fit on 8.5 by 11 paper.  One note, this is from the old version of the book, that uses 16-18 1NT instead of 15-17 1NT.  The new books will have the 15-17 1NT range.

Chapter 2

The diamond Series or play of the hand is usually started around the end of January or beginning of February each year.  You can download the first two chapters here.  They are from the old book that uses 16-18 1NT.  The new books will have the 15-17 1NT range.

GAME FILES

Listed below are files that can be downloaded on your computer.  They are hands that can be played in Bridge Baron or supposedly other major bridge playing software programs.  The first link is the directions to access the file from Bridge Baron once you have downloaded a file (I suggest saving the ????????.PPL file directly to your C: drive to make finding the files easier).

In the first section after the directions, these are files from the various lesson series.  Suggested bidding and play is programmed in.  I request that only my students download these files.  Other teachers who wish to use these for their students may use them as well.

In the second section are files that have been previously played in my Thursday game in Attleboro.  Suggested bidding is geared to my students with only standard conventions used. There are usually 16 hands in each file, each running @12K in size.  These files may be downloaded by anyone.

In the third section are files created from hand records from various tournaments and events I have been to.   There are usually 36 hands.  No suggested bidding or play is programmed in, although in notes, if there were suggested results, they are included there.  These files may be downloaded by anyone.

Directions for accessing files once downloaded  Please read this first before downloading any files.
