So... what ARE the 6 ways?
- Rubber Powered
- .020, .049, or CO2 Engine
- Free Flight
- Control Line
- Remote Control
- Static Scale
OK, I'm a little confused... I only see 4 ways with 2 power types,
but maybe I'm missing something. The "E" series arrived in the 1970s with the introduction of kits E-1 through E-7. Three
more kits were brought out in late 1973, and the complete line ended with 15 models, all available until the mid-90s. These
are all scale models spanning both civilian and military subjects in different aviation eras. Almost all of these models are
still readily available through ebay at reasonable prices (sometimes less that what they sold for new). Though designed initially
for rubber band power, these models are the PERFECT wingspan size and light structure for electric conversion with micro R/C
control. This is an easy to collect series and build out to museum quality models. The Diamant Sailplane (# E-3) and Cirrus
Sailplane (# E-7) are the hardest to obtain at a reasonable price.
