Oral History
Studs Terkel: published his
series of Oral History starting 1966; about ten (10) yrs before Padre Brenneker.
In the case of the American Studs Terkel, he was well versed in the
History of the USA and was able to ask pertinent questions to literate or
semi-literate fellow Americans taking events that either happened to them or
was told to them by their elders at face value in his Oral History books.

homeboy and had never been to the sub-Sahara Africa,\

relying in 1950 heavily on Elis
JULIANA who was a self styled poet-ethnologist born 1927and bred in
Willemstad.

Michael Moore Studs Terkel’s fellow American’s
documentary film Fahrenheit
9/11 is also present day Oral History. Studs
Terkel and Michael Moore both reinforce the values of Oral History in order to
give a different but interesting sometimes “obviously false spin” of a factual
happening to the public. Studs Terkel and Michael Moore show that other
ideas and other interpretations of History are believed by some people as
truths. If we were in Jesus’ presence two thousand yrs ago we would find out
that “Joshua
ben Joseph” Savior, son of Joseph was his real name the name he
responded to in factual history.
There also was a Joshua
in the Old
Testament who inserted his own interpretations with additions to the “Five Books of Moses.”
Joshua and his later charismatic leaders never quite agreed on the direction
away from Moses’ “teachings” the new more modern Jewish King Cult would
take. Later the Jewish religion was modernized by Maimonides born
of Spanish Jewish parents at Cordova in 1135 taking Judaism still further away from Moses and belatedly closer to
Christianity and Islam introducing “Hell”
of the New Testament
and the Egyptian “Everlasting
life after death” and away from the Jewish Patriarchal system to a Matriarchal true Jew present day ancestry.
Joshua, the savior - Jesus the Christ - his Greek
name bestowed on him yrs after his death with the recollections of Peter? and
singular interpretations of Paul (who was a new convert after Joshua ben
Joseph’s death with a ghastly apparitional voice asks enigmatically “Why dost thou
persecuteth me?”) Both Paul and Peter were followers of Joshua now called in
Greek “Jesus” who inserted their own interpretations with “Gospels” and
never quite agreed on the direction away from Judaism the new more modern
Jewish Cult would take or remain more Jewish in ‘The Burning Bush” cult of the
Moses father-in-law Jethro Exodus 18:24 “So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law,
and did all that he had said.”
The Christian religion really took off and began more or less in its
pubescent form over 300 yrs later after the death of Jesus with the secular government of Constantine (a SAINT in the Greek Orthodox church)
and the development of “oral history” from people who quote “Jesus” parables
and sayings with the books of Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John presently called THE NEW TESTAMENT altho’
they never met “Jesus”. Christians have slowly developed little by little and
very painfully over a period of over much more than a thousand yrs of killings
and slaughter in the name of “Jesus” aided with Crusades the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas the INQUISITION
and the trauma of Reformation
into its present more peaceful form of many sects
The President Kennedy conspiracy theories are all ORAL
HISTORY. Oral
History can seem factual and/or can include in some cases fantasy, imagery, songs, allegories, lies, fables, metaphors,
revisionism,
ethnocentrisms similes. Although
Padre Brenneker named his book SAMBUMBU a mixed-up turmoil of people,
pseudo-history, and false ideas wrapped around the sayings of illiterate
people. He states many suppositions, ideas, and guesses of illiterate people as
fact. Many people in Curacao continue to think he wrote a textbook of factual
HISTORY and Curacao’s NAAM museum thinks so too. We must look at writings of
Padre Brenneker with a critical eye sorting what may be true from all the
falsities. Henry FORD
correctly said about all the many interpretations of History without
hesitation, “All History is BULL.”

of Michael Moore show in depth Oral History’s innate systemic inconsistencies, urban legends and outright falsities believed
by a small always vocal sometimes illiterate minority who interpret
History personally and ethnocentrically
on the Right and on the Left by Conservatives and by Liberals while Richard
Nixon’s “Silent Majority”
looks on forever confused voting their pocketbook and their dreams for the most
glib, the most attractive personality-wise or the one with the most oratory
skills but all along knowing
for sure the deciding strength of the Ballot as well as history, myth and
legend fatalistically
for ill or gain is on their side and makes up the
elements of life and death on this planet.
