is granted to Negro Juan Pedro by Nathaneal Ellis Sr for 200 peso with a receipt
of 2-7-1738 and request of 2-7-1739 to issue a passport to travel N.B. a second
copy is granted to Mr. Nathaneal Ellis for renewal on 14 December 1745.
May
be father to the Pedro QUIRINDONGO born “abt.1730” possible father to Maria
Magdalena KIRING DONGO and gfather to. Juan Pedro born “abt.1770” who arrived
in PR 1794
1758 MANUMISSION
of a Black slave, Maria Magdalena. She was FREED and officially given surname
KIRING DONGO (DONCKER?) in 1758 in Curacao by a “former counsel of this
island...Nathanael ELLIS.” note Jewish spelling of first name.
Please note
Nathaniel ELLIS marries at 25 y.o. and signs manumission at 69 y.o. may be
error or 2 different persons.

Also note Pedro QUIRINDONGO perhaps KIRING DONGO abt.28 y.o. (or not born yet 1863? - may be 2 different persons) at time of Maria Magdalena manumission.
Pedro illiterate and there is no way to know how his surname was spelled at birth (or perhaps MANUMISSION.) It may have been KIRING DONGO also.
Both DONCKER (a Dutch surname) and ELLIS (an English surname) are NOT known to be Jewish.
