Ackerman compensation -- A feature of a tadpole trike's steering geometry which allows the inside wheel to follow a smaller radius circle in a turn, thus minimizing tire scrubbing.
Beck (or Becked) -- a new word derived from one Steven Beck who is infamous for rolling and otherwise abusing his beautiful Windcheetah, as in: "Oh man, I totally Becked it going around that last corner. I think I broke my elbow!"
Caster -- The inclination of the kingpin as seen from the side. If the top of the kingpin is tilted rearward this contributes the steering's tendency to return to center.
Delta trike -- One wheel in front, two at the back. Generally less complicated than Tadpoles but somewhat less performance oriented.
Centerpoint steering -- If an imaginary line drawn through the center of the kingpin points to the contact patch of the tire then the trike is said to have centerpoint steering. This helps to minimize the effect of bumps and braking forces on the steering.
Kingpin -- On a tadpole, the bearing or bushing which is the steering pivot for the front wheels.
Tadpole trike -- Two wheels in front, one at the back. Generally better brakes and more stable in turns than delta trikes.
