New Perspective will present a festival of short plays which will showcase San Diego's best non-union
acting, directing, and playwriting talent to the general public, the theatre community, and the local press.
The Basics:
Up
to twenty-four short plays by local playwrights will be selected for inclusion in the festival. Each play will be performed
twice in our six-night repertory during the last two weekends in June.
These
are 15-minute-and-under plays which will be performed in on a minimal (Black Box) set.
New Perspective is providing the theatre venue -- lights, sound, stage, and marketing -- but directors are wholly
responsible for preparing their scripts for performance: securing props, costumes, and rehearsal space.
