Who IS this crazy crafter?
Knittinology
When my son was born they gave me a pie-chart and asked me to fill in his
ethnic background. My philosophy is more mixed than my son! If you add up the percentages, it equals well over
100, but then even though art is math, math has yet to define art. For all of you who think you can't draw a circle--
neither can a famous artist friend of mine (and you know who you are!) Mistakes are like weeds, they're merely different
things that belong elsewhere. Never forget your mistakes! They'll come in handy.

Kim Waldheim
In her late 40's (a delicate phrase for a sturdy age) this strong woman has been through the wringer, and reinvented
it along the way. A wife, mother and step-grandma, Kim has gone back to school and is due to graduate
with honors the Spring of 2006. As a crocheter who learned to knit and quilt over the BBS system (pre-Internet
days) from Jane Devlin, friend and knitting guru extraordinaire, Kim also cooks, gardens (when the poison ivy is at bay), paints,
plays piano, sings, dances, swims, reads, writes bad poetry and blows her own horn with abandon (and teaches others
to do the same!)
"There is ALWAYS an answer, though most of the time it takes help to find it. The keys to success are learning
to ask others if there's anything they know that you should, being able to laugh at yourself, and remembering that your
successes are the products of many other people and that your failures are even more valuable because they give
you more ideas and directions than your successes do! Look at everything from as many POV's as possible. Cultivate
yourself. Write your own life-story, and be your own hero."
