Needless to say, the house concert was completely awesome! It had great food, cold beverage, stellar company, and super wonderful
music. Have you ever seen the The Monster Squad movie? Well, this kid says something like, "Mummy came to my house." I feel
like that kid. Steve Lawson, Lobelia, and Trip Wamsley came to my house...and they all played righteously killer music. Unlike
the movie kid, though, I have photos and video, so people believe my tale.
Yep, that's right, there's video. A snippet of Trip playing a neato cover is on his myspace page. Go see it. Hopefully more
footage of the concert is to come. Only time will tell.
Anyway, go buy those people's music. Lobelia has a dropdead georgeous voice. Steve has amazing looping skill and just SHREDS
(not on his albums, though). Then there's Trip...well, I'm just happy he's able to dress himself in the morning. Just kidding.
His music is groovilicious and his new album is stupendeous. Plus hanging out with all these guys was too fun. On Sunday,
we played tag in Decatur Square. I got outrun by a 40-year-old man. Talk about your ego blows!
