| The Terracotta Warriors of Qin Shi Huang were discovered by a local farmer as he was digging a well in 1974. The life size army was constructed to guard the afterlife of the first Chinese emperor. They are buried in battle formation near what is believed to be his tomb. | |||||||||||||||||
