The AZ DEC Board meets every other month on a Saturday morning in Casa Grande, 10:00 AM until noon. This allows interested participants from Phoenix, Tucson and other areas of the state to get together and plan for organizing trainings and for the annual Spring Training Workshop. We hold this workshop in conjunction with and support from the preschool unit of ADE. Our yearly workshop is well-attended and features topics of interest to the Arizona preschool community of teachers, child caregivers, para-educators and parents.

Board meeting topics address the training needs of those working with infants, toddlers, and preschool children both typical in development and those with developmental exceptionalities.

We welcome participants (DEC members as well as non-members) to our Board meetings with the idea that visitors may want to join our board to help on a committee and may eventually become interested in joining AZ DEC and in leadership opportunities. Those who take officers positions must be CEC and DEC members. We are a small (but mighty) group of individuals working in a large state.
