SABR is open to anyone
who has a passion for baseball and an appreciation for baseball's historical heritage. There are no membership requirements
(other than dues, of course!), no secret handshake, no eligibility test. Whether you are involved in research yourself,
or just enjoy consuming the fruits of others' research efforts, join SABR today to take advantage of all of the benefits of
membership, including:
- Semi-annual editions of the
Baseball Research Journal, reflecting the latest research efforts of fellow SABR members, are free with your membership.
- The National
Pastime, which now serves as the annual convention publication, is included as part of your membership package.
The articles in this publication are devoted to the history of baseball in the region where the convention is being held any
given year.
- Other special publications
as determined by the Board and Publications Director (varies from year to year, and in the future may include access to additional
online research materials and e-publications instead of paper publications).
- Access to SABR-L, our
daily e-mail research exchange.
- Access to the SABRpedia
which serves as a biographical encyclopedia of baseball to which all SABR members may contribute..
- Access to
other special databases, including the Triple-Play database, the "Who-Signed-Who" Scouts database, and the Collegiate
database.
- Special SABR discounts
on other research resources offered by outside parties.
- Networking opportunities
provided by the Annual Convention, regional chapter meetings and SABR Research Committees.
- Rewarding friendships
you will develop over time with fellow baseball enthusiasts all over the country and, indeed, all over the world.
