Last Thursdays at Manuels Local
SABR members gather at Manuels Tavern on the last Thursday of each month for an informal evening of baseball banter and camaraderie.
Manuels is a nice neighborhood tavern with decent food at reasonable prices. It is located in Midtown Atlanta at the
corner of N. Highland Avenue and North Avenue. We usually start gathering between 6:45-7:00, and we generally stay until
10:00 or so. Stop by anytime during the evening, even if you can only stay for a few minutes! Since
Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday in November, we'll be meeting on the 19th instead!
2010 "Hot Stove
League" Meeting
The
Magnolia Chapter's 2010 Hot Stove League Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 13 from 11:00 ~ 3:00. Location and program
will be announced later; there is a possibility we will hold this meeting at the same hotel that will host SABR40 next summer.
If not, we'll have the meeting at Turner Field, as usual. If you would like to make a research presentation at the Hot Stove
League meeting, or our spring "Play Ball" meeting (date of which will be announced later this fall), please contact Terry
as soon as possible so he can add you to the agenda for one of those meetings. We would like to hear from some new presenters!
