One of the other unique facets about this kind of race is the
publicity of it all. I had done dozens of other events and hardly a soul was the wiser. And that’s how I preferred it.
But it really only takes one or two people to get the word out before it takes off. With the Internet, all the images and
details are readily available, for better or for worse. And feedback came from the most random places. People I was not close
to, who probably knew nothing about triathlon are suddenly asking me things like," So, why so slow out of T1?"
Obviously by creating this site, I’ve embraced my 15 minutes
and wish to share it with others. It did not start out that way when I sat down to write my race report. But as I kept going,
I found I had much more to say than I originally anticipated. This experience has meant a lot to me and I felt it important
to make sense of it, and to preserve it.
I hope you find something of value here. My narcissism aside, I do
believe there is some substance for those looking to do IM Moo in the future.
Onward together,
