While driving to work I was listening to Bob and Tom on 104.5 as usuall... They are hilarious! Every once in a while their Party guys call up on the phone and you hear in the back a bunch of drunk guys hootin and a hollering, well today had to be one of the best I've ever heard. They were all screaming very drunkinly "One more Year, One more Year!" Bob, Tom and Chick(Sports sidekick) were all wondering what's one more year about? Kristi Lee who does the news stories finally got it.... The olsen twins turned 17 today.... ONE MORE YEAR!!! MmmmmmMMMmmmMMM Can you even imagine? They're already worth like 70 Million Or Billion I believe. All they would have to do is ONE porno and it would be the best seller for Decades! Phew... They also played Dear Penthouse which I heard for the first time and it's awesome! Do search on imesh and download it, if you liked the Camel Toe song you like this one.
I've got a ticket for 2 to see a screening of the Hulk next thursday, who want to go? I've got a feeling it's gonna be a $150 million Flop like Godzilla was. Looks just way too cheesy for my taste.. Sunday, June 08, 2003
2 Fast, 2 Furious, 2 Awesome! The sequel to The Fast and the Furious was pretty darn good. I usually don't take much interest in most movies and wait till they come on cable, which was the case with the first movie and surprisingly I really enjoyed it so I was looking forward to the sequel and was happily entertained. Of course, being able to see movies for free has changed that thought process a little, now it's like "Will this movie be worth 2-3 hours of my time?" :) The dialog was kinda crappy, just about every line started with "Check this out". It went well with the characters but was annoying. Fast, Fast and more fast. Race after Race or Chase after chase whichever you want to call it. One thing I didn't know going into the sequel was that Paul Walker was pretty much the only cast member returning from the first one. Vin Diesal opted not instead filming XXX instead and the Director had bailed as well. John Singleton directed this movie and brought a cast of upcoming urban actors as one article I read put it and I thought it went really well. The one thing I really liked was the ending. Most movies now that I see put just one more twist in at the VERY end and they could have easily done that and even gave the illusion of another twist but opted not to and I thought that was great. They didn't bow down to the overwhealming presence of "DRAMA" in movies and TV.
I saw The Italian Job last week and that was a good movie too. Most people are saying if you liked Ocean's 11 you'll like this movie and I aggree but it was certainly no Ocean's 11. I wish there had been a little more background on the first job they pull which was is referred to as the italian job. My cubbies stopped Clemens from getting Number 300 today by defeating the Yankees for the first time EVER! Kerry Wood pitched and incredible game. 12 strikeouts. Roger Clemens also pitched an exceptional game until he got into trouble in the bottom of the 7th and Joe Torre yanked him one batter too early I think. Roger's been in tough situations before and probably could have handled it. After Roger was yanked Eric Karros hit a 3 Run Shot on the First pitch from the relief pitcher which put the cubs up 3-1 and never looked back. That game gave Kerry Wood his first win since April 24th. Yes.... 1st win in 7 or 8 tries I believe and it also gave him his 50th career win. Great game. They do it one more time tomorrow on ESPN. I'm not particularly a fan of interleague play but Roger Clemens vs. Kerry Wood is a matchup for the history books.
