Just rewards for a sci-fi/adventure/fantasy Film as Lord of the Rings: Return of the King took home 11 Oscars!! That's right 11! Even the action/adventure flick Pirates of the Carribean received nominations, rare for an action film of any kind. I was diappointed that Johnny Depp did not receive Best Actor. I thougt it would be Johnny Depp or Bill Murray but alas fucking Sean Penn had to win and of course he put his damn political views statement above being honored with an oscar! ABC should have used their 5 second delay with him! Johnny Depp has another chance with his Pirate role as he has signed for Pirates 2: the Lost Abyss(Working title) and another interesting film he's signed to do is Charlie and the Chocalate Factory.... that's right, a remake of the ultra classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Tim Burton is heading up the remake so it will probably be a dark tone version of this classic. I'm hoping Star Wars EP III will get this kind of reception and accolades after it comes out in 2005. I enjoyed both EP 1 and 2 and hope 3 will step up and kick butt!

As I'm talking about movies I have to say the next 2 years are going to be freaking awesome!! Just a taste: Pirates 2, bond 21, batman 5!(batman begins as it has been titled), Shrek 2, Spiderman 2, Fantastic Four, Hellboy, Catwoman, Sky captain and the world of tomorrow(I think this is 2004's sleeper movie), and that star wars thing? :) Like I said, that's just a taste.

Oh well, Enough for now.
