Movie time! I saw The Chronicles of Riddick last weekend and I have to say it's the best movie this summer so far. I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger following. Action packed, pretty good story and some great effects.

This past thursday was the Final Sundown in the city for the summer.... and summer just started!? They just didn't have the bands this year for some reason and you know they had the money dangit after last year asking for donations and this year charging for the wristband for beer. Where did that money go to? And I know the sponsors paid a ton this year too. The Velcro Pygmies Also came to town thursday at Blue Cats. It's probably been a good 3-4 years since I've been able to see them play and they still put on a great show. It's too bad they don't come to knoxville nearly as much as they used to and if they do it's a damn frat house.

Last night was Saturday night on the town here in K-town. Filled with 3 music stages, A Rock stage, a country stage and a hip/hop R&B stage which I would have to say was probably the most fun of the three. Kids dancing and mighty fine women but they didn't really have any live music, it was a DJ operated stage for the most part. So, I kinda hung around the rock stage more or less enjoying a cheap cold beer and overpriced vendor food. The only band worth anything was Dexter Freebish. Pretty good band. Everybody else sucked, especially the last band. After that ended skycry and myself met up with his bro Rex who was about 10 feet away and never saw him :) We head on down to the Urban Bar with some friends of Rex's honey. I hadn't been in there since Spicy's closed and I have to say I probably won't return. I was no impressed at all and the service was just horrible and they weren't even close to being busy and it took over 20 mintues to get a beer order and everytime the waitress would return we had to flag her ass down and then she doesn't even bother to ask if anybody else needs anything. Bad server. I don't know what it was but I was just in a funky mood there? It didn't feel right for some reason. I don't know? Anyway, the gang broke about about midnight or so and we went our separate ways. I headed on to barley's cause I was craving a Rogue Hazzlenut.... I can't get enough of that shit. Great fucking beer! Creek was playing and they are really good. Sort of a Jam Band with a plentera range of material. I just stayed for 1 beer and headed on home where I watched one of my netflixed movies before finally calling it an evening and heading to bed. Oh well, enough for now. Cya
