Hockey Fans Rejoice!!! You may now become NBA fans! That's right... the NBA has shown its' true colors as fights break out between the Indiana Pacers players and Detroit Pistons Fans resulting in the Game being cancelled!! It all started when a Piston player and Pacer player went after each other and while the pacer player lay on the scorers table a cup of liquid landed on his stomach. The Pacer player proceeded to Jump up and go after a fan, whether it was the fan you actually through the beverage is unknown, or at least I didn't see from the replays. This resulted in an all out brawl in multiple areas with detroit fans and pacer players. Frankly it was just an ugly display and they should just suspend the whole damn season! I've pretty much stopped watching NBA since jordan left(his second time) as the whole league just has gone downhill. They have no superstars... Just a bunch of thugs playing street ball. Obviously it was wrong of the fan to throw something and he should pay the penalty but I think it was even more wrong for a professional basketball player to completely lose his cool and storm after somebody and then continue with his other player to seek out other fans to brawl with. It was just ugly and I hope people stop watching the NBA. Let the the sport die.

Been a while since my last post. Sorry. Bought a couple new games for PC and XBOX and well... there you go :) I was also moving my main website to a new host and I'm still trying to configure it all. Time really flys by. I don't get home till about 6:30pm sometimes later depending on work and traffic and by the time I get settled in and had dinner BAM it's 9pm. Takes forever to do anything. I think I try to take on too much or try to fit in too many things to do. I've got to divvy my time up between tasks. Plus sitting in front of a puter all day and then to come home and do the same thing can frustrating. Sometimes Blogging is also frustrating as I reply to stupid fucking e-mails all day long so I'm kinda burnt out by the time I get home to blog for an hour. Usually takes that long to come up with this, as Rex would say, Turd!

One really good thing at work is after 2 and a half years I got an office!!! My transition to a different role is starting to form. Actually, we're just forcing it to happen now cause Management won't let my current position be posted till the first of the year which means I'm wear at least two or three hats till March and maybe longer. It takes a good 2-3 months to find and interview candidates and background checks. Another good things is I'm getting a chance to be a little creative in creating sharepoint sites. Sharepoint is a microsoft product and it's a portal of sorts. I would define it as a intranet site with unlimited sub-sites. So far it's been fun trying to figure it all out. Boss ordered some books for me too so hopefully I'll have some reading material for the weekend. OOOh and I've got a sweet ass monitor setup. You ever see the movie swordfish and the panel of Flatscreen? Well.. check this out! I've got dual display on one system, two 17" flat Panels, and on my other system I've got this mother! Oh yeah... it's sweet. I've got them setup in panoramic view :) Might have to take the xbox in there some day :) Halo 2 would look sweet on it. It's actually for some monitoring programs our group and the server group will be using to monitor network traffic and whether a server is up or down. You need that much damn viewing space for the diagrams and logs.

Ok, on to some other stuff. If you hadn't noticed the holiday season is upon us. A leader in toys for decades is on it's last legs. Notice the new link on the left. I don't know about you but I've always Loved going to Toy R Us and the seamingly endless aisles of toys. Over the past few years they've changed the layouts and design of many stores but some still have the long ailes of toys. Wal-mart has Pummeled the toy industry the past few holiday seasons cause of their grip on the toy makers and distributers for lower costs. I'm all for lower costs but there is a point when you have to say... wait a minute... what's going on here? The once #1 toy retailer is now considering Selling off their core business and focusing on their babies r us stores instead. Wal-mart has sucessfully put FAO swartz into bankcruptcy TWICE in on year and stomped on Kay Bee stores forcing mass closings after last christmas. Now we may be faced even less options as Toys R us has pretty much said this season is make it or break it for the toy business. The industry itself has been down anyway so it hasn't been easy. Anyway... help Toys R us out and buy your toys there! Go to their stores or buy online. They use amazon as their Portal for their products. They are supposed to have some nice exclusive toys this year and the top toy makers Mattell and Hasbro have even agreed to help pay for their advertising. Hopefully they'll put in a good season.

One more thing.... I've been thinking about starting another website with blog and discussion board dedicated to computer and general internet help. Have you ever tried to search for a fix to a problem or information on something technical? Then you have had to search through ridiculous amounts of sites that either make you become a member or are so riddled with ads and pop-ups or they all point to the same damn solution that does help you that it makes you just sick doesn't it? Being a computer person I get many a call or e-mail from friends and family and have even gone as far as helping some people at work with their home systems so I thought I would create a site where you could get truthful help for free. I would probably have a paypal donation link but just to cover site costs. I certainly don't claim to know everything about computers or the interent cause I don't!!! But a couple of my best computer skills are being resoucefull as in if I don't know the answer I'll find it or know where to find the answer and deciphering the techno lingo into commoner language :) Let me know what you think.
