I know.... Long time since blogging but the holidays are finally over and things have settled down abit. Sitting here at the computer and enjoying my favorite and coolest Christmas gift. Wireless headphones! The way I have my apartment setup I really needed these. Right now I'm listening to Spaceballs on tv through the wireless headphones. Great for listening to TV or movies or whatever all around. I can now sit on my patio, have a cigar and listen to music and not disturb the area by turning my big speaker towards the outside like I used to just to enjoy sitting outside. Great gift! I strongly suggest a pair.
Holiday's had their ups and downs like normal. Drove up to chicago during the nice little blizzard through Kentucky and Indiana. It wasn't fun whatsoever. Really weired too, as soon as we got about half way through Indianapolis it was clear as day. Like somebody drew a line in the sand and said NO bad weather beyond this point. Basically an 8 hour drive took 10 cause of all the weather. Good thing we made it through when we did cause they shut down 65 after we got through. Had a good time with all the family members in chicago. The drive back was fine. Roads clear by then but still alot of cars and trucks in the ditches in southern indiana. One very sad moment was one of my very good friends had a traggic accident in his familly resulting in the loss of his father. I'm still in shock myself. I just can't even imagine that feeling. One good thing that will come if it is that it will make an already strong close family even closer and stronger and I try keep them in my thoughts and prayers daily. I don't know what else to do for him really except let him know that I'm here if he needs anything. I had a very good gathering for the Cotton Bowl! Finally people agreed to come over for a gathering after several attempts. I wasn't as prepared as I had planned to be as I had a little too much of the bubbly the evening before and was awoken by pounding and kicking on the door to let them in. It all turned out good cause everybody brought some good snacks over along with the main course of burgers and dogs on the grill. Good stuff! Didn't get to watch as much of the game as I would have liked but I had a good time playing host. Still not sure what to do with my vacation time I have left. I have 5.5 days I have to take before April 15th, my aniversary date. I want to goto Vegas again but I don't think I could afford a whole week there, Maybe just a couple days? And then I have the Miami trip I won at our christmas party to deal with. I'm actually trying to trade with another person at work who won a 40" HDTV projection screen. I offered trip and some cash and hopefully she'll accept my offer. I've been seriously looking at 30" widescreen TV's all for around 700-900. Work is going alright. Not very excited about my raise. I feel I was gibbed just a bit as many others do this year. We had an extrodinary year and don't feel we were proerly compensated for it, and found out some things I really just didn't want to know. My boss is great in that she lets me in an many things but sometimes there are things I would much rather be left in the dark about cause I will just get frustrated beyond belief about whatever I find out. I'm kinda in that situation right now. It's one thing to be underpaid but it's a completely different beast to be under appreciated. I can handle being underpaid to a certain extent but under appreciated is unacceptable. Most of the time I feel certain upper management has not made a commitment to me. Anyway... Not much up and coming except lots of cleaning around the apartment to do and try and enjoy life a little. That's it for now. -Cya
