Been a good ole lazy sunday so far. Just sittin back and enjoying this offseason beautiful weather we're having this weekend. I've made it a video game free weekend and caught up on a bunch of movies. First me and skycry went out and saw Be Cool. I enjoyed it very much as I'm easily entertained :) Check out skycry's site for a good review on it. Next up was the Kill Bill volumes. Tarantino really knows what the hell he's doing. Really liked them both, a little on the gory side for my taste but a great story and the way it flowed all together was wonderfull. Then I sat down and watched Garden State with Natalie Portman (Mmmmm) and that guy from Scrubs, it's so amazing how one can identify with movie characters. I know it's done on purpose to get you hooked. This was a wonderful tale about a man who has been trying to overcome a childhood tragedy and by chance, or fate, meets an exciting young woman that is able to crack the outer shell and break through to his inner soul. Last but not least has been the Disney Classic Babes in Toyland with a very young Annette Funicello. One of my childhood favorites that still delites today. I haven't seen it in at least 10 years and it still holds up today, check it out. It's the 1961 version, almost 30 years after the original March of the Wooden soliders with Laurel and Hardy on which it's based, which is a wondferul adventure as well. One more that on Be Cool, I saw The Rock on Letterman this past week and a cool little side note on his dance near the end. He is half black and half samoan(sp) and the dance was an actuall samoan dance and the two others dancing were his cousins. Just something to watch for.

I finally received my $500 best buy certificate from the vendor that I won our christmas party prize from. Originally I won a trip for 2 to Miami for a 3 night stay in South Beach but I really wasn't that pumped up about and I had already made vacation plans and the prize didn't come with vacation days as some of the other trip prizes did. I was able to barter for a comparable prized gift card and after weeks of promises they finally came through. Oh, and the orginal prize also came with $500 cash too. I've been saving that $500 cash for vegas(in 2 weeks!) but now I have to figure out what to purchase with my best buy gift card. They actually sent me a gift certificate but I was able to goto best buy and swap it for a physical card instead as it will be easier to keep up with. Thanks to the ever so gorgeous Jennifer at Best Buy it took less then 2 minutes to take care of. I was impressed. Usually I have issues at the return/exchange counter for those type of transactions but she handled it very well. So I looked around trying to think of something I needed. I kinda want a new receiver as mine is old, not even 5.1 dolby. I'm very loyal to JVC though and they don't carry JVC receivers. They have decent Sony 7.1 dolby for $249 but I'm not sure that's the route I want to take. I'm also interested in the Harmony Remote Control for Tivo but $149 for damn remote is a little crazy. Plus I know I can some of these high end items on ebay for cheaper from wholesalers selling online. I don't know? Any suggestions? I think I'm going to hold to it for a little while. I don't if I should get a couple big ticket items or a bunch of small shit. I really don't NEED anything right now. It's my parents' 30th anniversary this year and I was thinking of using it for them as I know they need a new washer and dryer or a new fridge might be good too but that's not until august. Oh well... enough blogging for today. Cya
